Kargil War Memorial – Kashmir Tourism’s Glory and India’s Pride

  A few dates in Indian history can never be forgotten; 1999 is one of them. The Kargil War fought from 5th May 1999 to 5th July 1999, has been significant to Indians as it was the last war fought and won by India. But who can tell a place that is nothing but a replica of paradise today was filled with cries of our soldiers two decades ago? Pakistani soldiers’ sudden strike at the Drass Valley had sent a wave of shock among Kashmir news media, paralyzing the entire nation with fear. But due to the Indian Army’s calculated attack and unwavering courage, Kashmir found victory. Jammu and Kashmir Tourism will Change the Dynamics of Indian Tourism

  The Indian Government has bet big on Kashmir to boost Indian tourism. GOI is trying to make Jammu and Kashmir a prime tourist destination in the light of a growing absence of international travel. One of the initiatives the Government has taken is to increase the flight arrangements to Jammu and Kashmir by introducing more direct flights from major cities across India.  This is expected to boost more local tourist destinations in the Jammu and Kashmir valley, centered around adventure, culture, and honeymoon tourism. The idea came through right after December 2020 saw a massive hike in tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. As per Ladakh news, December 2020 was the best tourism year for the valley in several years. Jammu and Kashmir Tourism During Covid-19

  Jammu and Kashmir tourism are now open for domestic and international tourists and travelers. The one good thing that happened during the COVID-19 lockdown Jammu and Kashmir domestic travel sector experienced a huge turnover. As international borders were closed, Indians expansively explored Ladakh, Jammu, Kashmir, and the mesmerizing Himachal. So, much so that the GOI increased the budget by several crores to improve the operations of the tourism department in the state, including adding more direct flights from southern states.
